Who are we?
Daniel Weylie is a highly skilled professional photographer serving the community of architects, builders, interior designers, construction professionals, and supply companies. With 30years of full-time experience, you can expect nothing but the best results.
What is the process?
Once we arrive at the location I scope the project to determine when the light will work best in each area. I then set up lighting, ensure the areas are staged and are photo-ready and begin the shoot. We then carefully return everything to its original state. Once we return to the studio the editing process takes place which is very detailed. The results are then delivered to you via a shared Dropbox folder.
How does it work?
We will carefully go over your goals for the end result. We are here to help coordinate an ideal time to schedule the shoot. We do like to take advantage of the different light conditions throughout the day. It does take time to ensure all the details are taken care of to ensure the best results.
Where do you use the results?
Our images are used for websites, marketing, and public relations initiatives, communications, signage, and editorial purposes. Basically your entire marketing spectrum. Our photographs are often seen on social media platforms, hanging in offices, on websites, in magazine advertising, and on billboards on all major highways throughout Canada and North-Eastern USA.
What can you expect?
Quality photos and video that tell a story and provide a moving, emotional impact on people very quickly - something that words alone cannot accomplish. Put this sales tool to work for your business. It is an investment you can expect a lot of return on.
What is it going to cost?
Of course, it all depends on the scope of your project, location, and how you will be using the images. We can work on an hourly basis, half-day rate, and full-day rate depending on the project. Typically you can expect to pay about $180/hr. We are also open to split billing between two companies, for example, a builder and an architect may want images from the same project. Where do you operate?
Daniel Weylie is based in Hamilton, Ontario. Available throughout the entire province of Ontario and very familiar with Ontario's cottage country. We like to say we are available from Ottawa to Windsor including the GTA. To discuss your next photography project we look forward to hearing from you. It all begins with a vision…
Born in 1972 in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Daniel knew from the early age of 13 that photography was his destiny. With the help of several mentors and with Theresa his wife, being so understanding, he was able to carefully realize that photography was a means of expression and a very rewarding career. With backgrounds in both photography and marketing, Daniel has a sound understanding of his client's needs. with 28 years of full-time experience, Daniel has brought on many commercial and editorial commissions. This experience allows him to tackle even the most challenging photographic situations. His ability to see the light and how it interacts with his subjects is just one thing that makes him stand ahead of other photographers. Daniel has a deep passion for creating images that will have an emotional impact on whoever is viewing them. He takes a lot of pride in his craft which is very evident when speaking or working alongside him. Daniel enjoys traveling across Ontario to all of his assignments, he is known for saying 'well here we go on another adventure!'. Building up an awesome clientele base has also been his passion. Working with clients that take a lot of pride in their work is so inspiring for him. In between shoots Daniel often takes time to photograph natural and local landscapes he comes across on his adventures. It is just part of living, eating, breathing everything about photography and it proves his absolute love for what he does. When not involved with an assignment Daniel spends time traveling, camping, and hiking with his wife Theresa, and two teenage boys James and Ryan. Daniel also enjoys spending time with his beloved Lab 'Jake'
More about our process
Daniel practices a very disciplined technique in photography that takes a great deal of planning and a clear vision of the final result. This is very different from the High Dynamic Range (HDR) technique used by many photographers. Daniel approaches all of his images by shooting several layers in the photography stage that will be used during editing to build a final composite featuring all those details from each layer. This is a very pure approach to photography.
